Ukrainian company Ukrainian Unmanned Technologies unveiled a modified version of the UMP-3 “Ravlyk” ground robotic system featuring a seven-tube FZ800 Mod.1 rocket launcher at the international defence exhibition MSPO 2026 in Poland. This was reported by the outlets “Militarnyi” and “Oboronka”. 

The company says the launcher can use 70 mm FZ275 LGR laser-guided rockets as well as conventional unguided air-to-surface rockets. The system’s versatility is provided by the interchangeable dual-purpose FZ125 retention mechanism. It allows different types of munitions to be held and launched, including rockets to the FFAR (Folding-Fin Aerial Rocket) and WA (Wrap-Around / Wrap-Around Fin) standards.

According to the developer, the FZ800 Mod.1 is 2,003 mm long and 252 mm in diameter. The empty launch module weighs 41 kg, while depending on the type of rockets and warheads fitted, the weight of the loaded launcher can reach 107–131 kg.

Fire control is carried out using digital systems integrated into the robot’s onboard suite. The company has developed specialised software to operate the launcher.

“First, we needed to teach it how to control the module. It moves up and down. The problem was that we had to write specialised software to control the module and transmit information. Depending on the rocket, we can use our own protocols to bring the software together into a single workstation. With certain training, the operator can also control the rockets,” a representative of Ukrainian Unmanned Technologies explained.

The company noted that the FZ800 module itself is currently undergoing trials. It was initially created for use with unguided air-to-surface rockets, but developers are now refining the mechanism and testing the system with surface-to-air class missiles.

The launcher is mounted on the turret of the six-wheeled UMP-3 “Ravlyk” ground robotic system. The platform has a 6×6 wheel configuration and weighs 670 kg. According to the company, it can carry up to 500 kg of payload and tow a trailer weighing up to 2.5 tonnes. The UMP-3’s top speed is 12 km/h, and its range on a single charge exceeds 50 km. 

Ukrainian Unmanned Technologies is a Ukrainian engineering and manufacturing company specialising in the development and production of unmanned ground robotic platforms. One of the company’s key products is the “Ravlyk” family of ground robotic systems, which can carry out logistics, evacuation, reconnaissance and combat missions.

The company is developing international partnerships to scale up production. In particular, UUT has an agreement with Denmark’s Vidar Industries and has also entered into an industrial partnership with France’s Haulotte to produce the “Ravlyk” ground robotic system.
