On 23 September at 18:00, the Potocki Palace in Kraków will host an author event, Ruzhi i Ruzhzhia, with Ukrainian poet Lyubov Yakymchuk. This is stated in the event announcement.
Ruzhi i Ruzhzhia is the title of Yakymchuk’s poetry collection, which she is currently working on as part of the Homines Urbani fellowship at Villa Decius in Kraków. She will talk about it, her writing and literary life in Ukraine during a meeting moderated by Ukrainian poet, publisher, musician and civic activist Yuriy Zavadskyy.
“Liubov Yakymchuk is one of the best-known contemporary Ukrainian poets, and her book Morele Donbasu (Apricots of Donbas, 2015) is undoubtedly one of the most important Ukrainian books of recent decades,” the event announcement says.
The event is organised by the Villa Decius Institute of Culture with funding from Poland’s Ministry of Culture and National Heritage through the Culture Development Fund.
