Ukrainian company Fire Point has begun military trials of the FP-7 ballistic missile. This was announced by Fire Point CEO Iryna Terekh during the event “Photonics4Defense 2026: Technology Exchange & Matchmaking”, reports the outlet Militarnyi.
According to her, the FP-7 has already successfully completed two preliminary testing stages and is now undergoing military trials. This process is also part of the missile’s codification. Terekh added that the FP-7 could move into operational use as soon as the coming weeks.
The initial stages involved ground and laboratory tests. During them, the operation of the missile’s main systems and subsystems was checked separately, including the rocket engine and navigation equipment. The next stage was flight testing, which makes it possible to obtain data on the missile’s performance in flight and compare its actual characteristics with the calculated ones.
What Is Known About the FP-7 Missile
Fire Point first publicly announced the development of the FP-7 in September 2025, presenting the project at the MSPO exhibition in Poland. In February 2026, the company showed video of a test launch of the missile from a ground-based launcher for the first time.
According to the manufacturer, the missile’s maximum speed is about 1,500 m/s, its flight altitude is up to 65 km, and its stated circular error probable is about 14 metres. Maximum flight duration is estimated at 250 seconds.
The manufacturer says the missile can carry up to 150 kg of payload and strike targets at a distance of up to 300 km depending on the mass of the warhead.
