The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the Defence Forces, struck a number of Russian military facilities overnight on 12 September in the Taganrog area of Russia’s Rostov region. Among them were an FPV drone production site and two UAV storage warehouses.

On the night of 12 September, drones from the SBU’s Alpha Special Operations Centre attacked Russian military targets in the Taganrog area.
According to the SBU, the following were hit:
- two UAV storage warehouses;
- an FPV drone production facility;
- the Pantsir-S2 anti-aircraft missile and gun system;
- a fuel and lubricants storage tank;
- the P-18 Terek radar station.
Fires were recorded at all the sites that were hit.
The SBU said that destroying Russia’s drone production and storage capacity should reduce the Russian army’s ability to use UAVs and FPV drones to strike Ukraine.
The Security Service stressed that the operation was a response to Russia’s mass attacks, during which Russian forces use strike drones against Ukraine and civilian infrastructure.
