Russia is currently producing 140 ballistic missiles a month.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in an interview with DW.

According to him, 280 ballistic-missile interceptors are needed to shoot down these missiles.

“The ratio is one to two. But you will never get 280 missiles for Patriots a month. Even 100 missiles is a huge challenge. But that is what I want: to have 100–120 interceptors for the tough, cold months ahead. We could get them from the US from existing stockpiles or directly from production. In the US there is the political will to help us and sell these interceptors, but production volumes are not yet that large. That means the option of existing stockpiles remains. Will the Americans be ready to provide us with something from their depots? I don’t know. We’ll see,” the head of state said.

The President added that Ukraine is holding talks with Middle Eastern states, and that a small package of interceptors from European countries is also possible.

“And with all due respect to the Europeans—they have helped a great deal, and we appreciate it—they need to share these missiles to help save lives,” Zelenskyy stressed.
