Russian forces shelled Kramatorsk in Donetsk Region on the morning of 20 September. The Lazurnyi neighbourhood was hit.
This was reported by Kramatorsk City Council.
At around 10:10, the Russians fired three artillery rounds at the city. As a result of the shelling, a 69-year-old woman was killed. According to the city council, she was outside when her life was cut short by shell fragments.
A man born in 1961 was also injured. He is receiving the necessary medical care. The strike damaged a general secondary education institution and several multi-storey residential buildings.
Later, Yevhen Kaplin, head of the Proliska humanitarian mission, reported an air strike on an evacuation point in Kramatorsk.
"Russian terrorists carried out an air bomb strike on an evacuation point in Kramatorsk. There was a direct hit," Kaplin said.
According to him, at the time of the strike, evacuees and staff involved in evacuation efforts were at the site.
The consequences of the Russian strike are currently being established. There is no information yet on casualties or the scale of the damage.
