In the United Kingdom, police have arrested several men over incidents involving explosives near RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire. Because of the emergency, officers are evacuating residents from several homes in the Welford area.

British police have sealed off access to the airbase near the village of Welford, which is used by the US Air Force.
Numerous emergency services are at the scene, including a specialist hazardous incident response team.
Gloucestershire Police said residents of a number of homes in the Welford area are being evacuated in connection with the incident.
"This follows the arrest of several men on suspicion of offences under the Explosive Substances Act. An army bomb disposal specialist team is currently examining several vehicles," officers said.
Police stressed that the situation is under control.
RAF Fairford has become the site of protests in recent months over the British government's decision to allow the US to use it to carry out strikes on Iranian missile facilities that are attacking vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
In July, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned the United Kingdom against allowing US bombers to take off from the airbase.
At the time, a UK government spokesperson said: "Our armed forces are ready to defend the United Kingdom from any attacks — whether on our territory or from abroad. The United Kingdom is ready to defend itself around the clock".
