US President Donald Trump has announced the creation of a Superintelligence Force in the country.
He wrote about it on the Truth Social social network.
"I am announcing the creation of a Superintelligence Force that will coordinate the federal government’s efforts to ensure America’s continued global leadership in the field of superintelligence, which many believe is more important than the Industrial Revolution and the Internet, and will also protect the interests and improve the lives of all Americans," the post says.
The Force will be led by Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton, Federal Trade Commission Chair Andrew Ferguson, the Pentagon’s Chief Technology Officer Emil Michael, and Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Kupor.
They will report to the President and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.
Recall that on 30 September, Trump signed an executive order to rename artificial intelligence (AI) as "superintelligence" (Super intelligence).
