Yemen’s Houthis said on Saturday that they had attacked a facility belonging to oil company Aramco in the Saudi capital Riyadh using ballistic missiles and drones.

This was reported by Reuters.

The Houthis said the attack was in response to Saudi strikes on Yemen’s capital Sanaa and other provinces in the country.

According to a witness, a large column of smoke and fire was visible near the Aramco facility in Riyadh.

At the same time, there has so far been no official confirmation from Saudi Arabia of an attack on the Aramco facility. Aramco representatives also did not comment in response to the agency’s request.

Last week, the Houthis also claimed strikes on Aramco facilities in Yanbu using missiles and drones.

Saudi Arabia said at the time that it had intercepted six ballistic missiles launched by the Houthis towards Taif and the Yanbu area, but did not report any damage to Aramco facilities.
