Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated servicemen and women on Ukraine’s Territorial Defence Forces Day.
The head of state wrote about this in his address.
“Thank you to everyone who joined the Territorial Defence Forces and continues to defend Ukraine and our people,” Zelenskyy said.
According to him, the Territorial Defence brigades have come a long way, and new units have been formed on their basis, which now, together with all the Defence Forces, are protecting the country.
The President also recalled 2022 and the Ukrainians who at that time stood up to defend independence.
“We remember 2022 and the courage of many Ukrainians who then chose to defend our independence. We honour the strength of everyone fighting today,” he wrote.
Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine must do everything necessary to defend the country and achieve peace.
“Happy Ukraine’s Territorial Defence Forces Day. Thank you, warriors, each and every one of you!” the President added.
