Russian occupiers continue to terrorise Ukraine’s civilian population. In this week alone, the Russians have launched more than 1,900 attack drones, 1,700 aerial bombs and 25 missiles at Ukraine. In the morning, the enemy attacked Kyiv, Dnipro and Sumy.

This was reported by Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“This morning, the Russians once again hit the Northern Bridge in Kyiv with a drone. They attacked an ordinary warehouse of medical supplies in Sumy with drones. One person, sadly, was killed. My condolences to their family and loved ones. In Dnipro, they struck a communications facility. Six people were injured as a result of these strikes,” the statement said.

On the night of 4 October, the Russians launched 135 attack drones at Ukraine, more than 50 of them jet-powered. Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk Region, Kharkiv Region, Donetsk Region, Sumy Region and Zaporizhzhia came under enemy strikes. The Russians again attacked ordinary residential buildings and critical infrastructure. “Everything that makes up everyday life. There are power outages in communities. Our services are working on the ground,” the President added.

“It is important that Ukraine is not left alone against this terror. This week alone, the Russians used more than 1,900 attack drones, 1,700 aerial bombs and 25 missiles against Ukraine. More than 800 drones were jet-powered, and Russia must be held accountable for this escalation,” the head of state stressed.

The President also noted the visit by Chancellor of Germany Friedrich Merz to Kyiv. The head of state emphasised that Germany consistently demonstrates leadership in protecting the lives of Ukrainian men and women from Russian strikes.

“We are grateful for all the support. And today we are preparing decisions so that we in Ukraine and across Europe have more capacity to defend ourselves. There will be important agreements between Ukraine and Germany. Russia must be stopped together. Thank you to everyone who is helping,” the President added.
