The US Coast Guard has found debris off the coast of Nantucket Island in the state of Massachusetts from a Gulfstream medical aircraft that disappeared from radar on 3 October.
This was reported in a press release by the US agency.
The Coast Guard said it is continuing the search for the six people who were on board the missing medical transport aircraft.
"Search teams found debris off the coast of Nantucket that has been confirmed as belonging to this aircraft," the agency said.
In total, six people were on board, including four Canadian citizens and two Bermudian citizens.
As part of the search-and-rescue operation, the US Coast Guard deployed aircraft, helicopters and specialised rescue vessels.
Over roughly 27 hours of the operation, search teams covered an area of 4,258 square kilometres.
