Last night, servicemen from the 11th NGU Brigade named after Mykhailo Hrushevskyi and the 34th Kherson Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine carried out a second operation to deliver a humanitarian shipment to occupied Oleshky.
This was reported by Interior Minister Ivan Vyhivskyi.
In total, using drones, NGU personnel working in coordination with the 30th Marine Corps, the 34th Separate Marine Brigade “Borysfen” and the 79th Border Detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine delivered parcels with a combined weight of nearly four tonnes. They contained food, medicines and children’s kits.
According to Vyhivskyi, almost 400 parcels were successfully delivered during the operation.
The minister separately commended the “Perun” UAV crew, which during the operation not only delivered food but also rescued six animals from the occupied territory.
Vyhivskyi also thanked the servicemen who took part in the operation, as well as communities, educational institutions, donors and volunteers from across the country who collected the humanitarian aid.
“While the Russians are effectively holding residents of occupied Oleshky hostage — without food, water or medicines — our units continue to do everything possible to save Ukrainians from hunger,” the minister said.
