In Kushuhum, Zaporizhzhia Region, on 5 October, Russian forces carried out an air strike on the “Intellect” gymnasium. As a result of a guided aerial bomb hit, the roof, the canteen premises and the boiler room were damaged.

This was reported by the Kushuhum community.

“Today, 5 October, at around 11:00, the Kushuhum ‘Intellect’ gymnasium came under fire once again. As a result of a guided aerial bomb hit, the roof, the canteen premises and the boiler room were damaged,” the statement said.

The community noted that the blast wave once again tore down the temporary structures that had been used to cover windows smashed earlier.

Due to the damage and the real threat to people, the resilience centre that had been operating on the gymnasium’s premises is ceasing operations.

The community administration urged Kushuhum residents to leave, as constant shelling is making it increasingly dangerous to remain in the area. Local authorities are ready to help residents organise evacuation and provide the necessary assistance.
