In parts of Ukraine today, 6 October, hourly rolling power cuts will be applied from 15:00 until the end of the day for all categories of consumers. For industry, power limitation schedules will be in force.

The restrictions are linked to damage to energy infrastructure as a result of Russian shelling and the need to avoid overloading equipment. For household and other consumers, outages will be applied at a level of up to one group.
Due to Russian strikes, new power outages have been recorded in Kharkiv, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Where the security situation allows, energy workers are carrying out emergency repair and restoration work.
Ukrenergo noted that electricity consumption is rising. As of 09:30 on 6 October, it was 2.9% higher than at the same time the previous day. Consumers are advised to shift the use of high-power electrical appliances to the period from 10:00 to 15:00.
