Ukrainian-Polish drone manufacturer UMO Defence has presented four models of strike fibre-optic drones on the Brave1 Market, which can be connected to a ground station simultaneously and switched between. The company told Defender Media.

Four models in the UMO series are available on the marketplace: UMO-13-O25, UMO-15-O25, UMO-15-O30 and UMO-13-O30. They are built on 13- or 15-inch frames and have fibre-optic spools with a length of 25 or 30 km. All the drones presented have undergone codification, the company said. Depending on the configuration, the drones cost between UAH 115,000 and UAH 127,000.

According to the developers, the drones’ cruising speed is 61–65 km/h, and flight endurance is 25–30 minutes. They can carry a payload weighing 2–2.5 kg. The drones transmit a digital video signal, are equipped with digital daytime cameras, but do not have a terminal guidance system.

All four models are fitted with removable landing gear. According to the manufacturer, this makes it possible to use them to set up ambushes. Depending on the flight mode, the drones can remain on standby for up to six hours.

UMO’s fibre-optic drones operate as part of the UMO HYDRA system. It allows up to six UAVs to be connected to a single ground station and switched between, the company explains. At the same time, two operators can simultaneously control two drones.

The system provides for rapid switching between connected aircraft and has a safety lock to prevent accidental activation when changing drones. UMO HYDRA also supports operation with external displays and goggles.

UMO Defence is a Ukrainian defence company established in late 2025 on the basis of UMO Ukraine’s manufacturing division. It operates as a separate company within the structure of the Polish UMO group. Its main areas of work are the development, production and deployment of solutions in the FPV drone sector.
