The Kyiv Metro has denied reports that the “green line” of the underground was shut down this morning. The Syrets-Pechersk line is operating to a temporary special timetable during the morning and evening rush hours due to restrictions on the Southern Bridge: only one train can be on it at a time.

At other times, trains are running as normal. This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration.

“Information circulating on social media about an alleged suspension of train services on the ‘green’ metro line is not true,” the statement said.

At the same time, due to a lack of voltage in the power system, services on part of the public transport network have been temporarily suspended in the Obolonskyy, Podilskyy and Sviatoshynskyi districts.

On 8 October, the metro in Kyiv came to a halt due to power supply disruptions. Full service was restored within an hour. Disruptions to electric public transport services resumed after massive attacks on the energy sector.

The Southern Bridge across the Dnipro has already been hit by several enemy attacks. Traffic on it has been reorganised.
