All four Moscow airports — Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky — have introduced the “Carpet” regime due to the threat of attacks by drones and weather balloons.

This is reported by the Astra Telegram channel.

According to local monitoring channels, Moscow and the surrounding region are being attacked by drones and small weather balloons. Russia’s air defence systems are reported to be operating.

Residents of several districts of Moscow — Kapotnya, Kuzminki, Lyublino, Maryino, Tsaritsyno, Chertanovo, Orekhovo-Borisovo and Tekstilshchiki — reported hearing explosions.

Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) confirmed the introduction of the “Carpet” plan at all four airports in the Russian capital.
