Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff, during which he heard a report on the situation at the front. According to him, Ukrainian troops are continuing active defence and are gradually pushing back the Russian occupiers.
The head of state reported this on social media.
“In the areas around Dobropillia alone, the Russians are losing about two hundred people a day killed. They also have many seriously wounded,” Zelenskyy said on social media.
The President noted that Ukrainian troops are stopping Russian attempts to advance and infiltrate.
According to Zelenskyy, in some sections of the front Russian forces outnumber Ukrainian troops by six to eight times. Despite this, Ukraine is achieving the necessary results, and its positions at the front this year remain the strongest they have been in a long time.
Separately, the President commended the servicemen of the 12th Azov Special Purpose Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, the 1st Presidential Brigade Burevii, the 95th Air Assault Brigade, the 413th Raid Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, the 104th Separate Territorial Defence Brigade, and the Phoenix border detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Zelenskyy thanked Ukrainian troops for carrying out combat missions and for the effective use of weapons.
