Russians Launch Missile Attack on Kyiv (Updated)

On the evening of 12 October, the Russian army used missiles against Kyiv. The first explosions were heard even before the air-raid siren.

The Air Force reported the use of high-speed targets. Explosions in the city were confirmed by Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

As of 23:07, a missile strike has been recorded in the Desnianskyi district, hitting a four-storey warehouse building.

Update. The Mayor of Kyiv reported that a missile hit a transport infrastructure facility in the Dniprovskyi district of the capital. Emergency services are heading to the scene.

Strikes occurring before an air-raid alert has been declared have happened before. There is still no official information on the type of missiles used.

The missile strike came after a day of drone terror. Today in Kyiv, two people were killed and 11 injured as a result of enemy drone strikes.
