Six regions of Ukraine have received energy equipment as part of international assistance from the Netherlands. In total, more than 50 tonnes of equipment were delivered.
This was reported by Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy.
Assistance from the warehouses of emergency energy assistance hubs was also delivered to Khmelnytskyi, Chernivtsi, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv and Mykolaiv regions.
The shipment included diesel generators to provide backup power for district heating facilities and medical institutions. The regions also received power transformers, insulators and portable generators.
The Ministry of Energy thanked the Netherlands’ Ministry of Climate Policy and Green Growth and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency for supporting Ukraine’s energy sector.
Logistical support for the delivery of the equipment was provided by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO).
