For the third time in the past 24 hours, Poland has scrambled its aircraft and those of its NATO allies amid Russian strikes on Ukraine.

This was reported by the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces.

According to the command, the decision was taken in response to another wave of Russian attacks using drones against targets in western Ukraine.

Polish forces also raised ground-based air defence and radar reconnaissance systems to the highest level of readiness.

The command stressed that these measures are preventive in nature and aimed at ensuring security and protecting Poland’s airspace, particularly in areas close to the threat zones.

In addition, the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA) reported a temporary suspension of flights at the airports in Lublin and Rzeszów. This was done to ensure freedom of action for military aviation.
