Volyn Region is under attack by enemy strike UAVs of the Shahed type, including jet-powered ones.
As Regional Military Administration head Roman Romaniuk reported, a foreign-invested enterprise in Lutsk has been hit again.
In Kovel, almost a dozen lorries with semi-trailers are on fire as a result of the attack. One person is known to have been injured.
In Kovel, the local customs terminal also came under attack.
“I strongly urge Volyn residents to remain in shelters until the air-raid alert is over. Do not neglect your own safety and take care of yourselves!”, Romaniuk said.
- On the night of 16 October, Russian forces attacked Volyn Region with around 20 drones. As a result of debris falling on a power line in the Lutsk community, 370,000 customers were left without electricity, and there were also disruptions to the water supply.
- In Manevychi, one person was killed and eight others injured in a strike on the Agrofrukt LTD enterprise.
- In the settlement, residents were also warned of a possible emergency situation that could lead to an ammonia release into the atmosphere. People were urged to follow safety rules and monitor official announcements.
