Operators of the 413th Separate Regiment of the Uncrewed Systems Forces “Raid” struck a temporary deployment point of the Russian special-purpose centre “BARS-Sarmat” in temporarily occupied Kyrylivka, Zaporizhzhia region.
This was reported by the 413th USF Regiment on Facebook.
The “BARS-Sarmat” centre, also known as “BARS-37”, develops and conducts combat trials of drones, robotic systems, electronic warfare and electronic intelligence equipment, as well as command-and-control and communications systems.
According to the military, the unit poses a significant threat to Ukrainian defenders on the front line. Its personnel include military and technical specialists, including programmers, technologists and engineers.
The centre is commanded by Dmitry Rogozin – the former Director General of Roscosmos, who now holds the post of so-called senator from the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region.
Servicemen of “BARS-Sarmat” are also involved in mobile fire groups tasked with covering transport on the “Novorossiya” highway, which links Rostov-on-Don with temporarily occupied Crimea.
- In the spring, Ukrainian drone operators struck a complex of “BARS-Sarmat” facilities deep in Zaporizhzhia region, on the coast of the Sea of Azov.
- At the time, strikes on the temporary deployment point and workshops where drones, ground robotic systems and electronic warfare equipment were manufactured and fitted out were confirmed.
