Ukrenergo is introducing electricity consumption restrictions in parts of Ukraine’s regions for tomorrow, 21 October.

This was reported by the company’s press service.

The restrictions will be in effect from 06:00 to 23:59.

For industrial enterprises, specialists will introduce power limitation schedules. For all other categories of consumers, hourly outage schedules will be applied during the day, affecting between 1 and 2 groups.

Ukrenergo explained that the reason for these measures is the aftermath of massive Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities.

The situation in the power system may change due to further Russian shelling, so energy workers advise following updates and outage schedules on the official resources of local regional power distribution companies.

  • On the night of 20 October, the Russian army attacked the energy sector in Lviv Region. The attack continued during the day. As a result of drone strikes, almost 17,000 customers were left without power.
  • In Kyiv, as a result of Russia’s attack on energy facilities, four districts have been partially left without electricity.
