Ukrainian company Ptashka Drones has added microphones across its entire range of fibre-optic-controlled ‘Ptashka’ unmanned aerial vehicles, with ranges from 10 to 50 km and digital communications transmission. The manufacturer reported this on Telegram.
According to the developers, the modification is designed for using the UAV in “sleeper” mode — when the aircraft remains in ambush while waiting for a target. The built-in microphone allows the operator to hear loud conversation at a distance of 20–30 m, light vehicles at 50–100 m, and heavy vehicles at distances of up to 200 m.
“A microphone on board provides not only advantages for engaging targets, but also additional protection for the sleeper — if an enemy drone approaches (a kamikaze drone or a dropper), the operator can hear the threat and respond by changing the ambush position,” the company added.
The ‘Ptashka’ series drones are available on the Brave1 Market.
Recently, Ptashka Drones showed how its ‘Ptashka’ FPV drone equipped with a net launcher intercepted a Russian ‘Molniya-2’ strike drone.
