The EU has presented and begun discussing part of the draft 22nd package of sanctions against Russia.
This was reported by Vladyslav Vlasiuk, the President’s Commissioner for Sanctions Policy.
According to him, the sanctions should cover 12 individuals, 105 legal entities, as well as a number of banks, oil refineries, port and oil-and-gas facilities of the aggressor state, non-ferrous metals processing companies, and the infrastructure of the shadow fleet, including ship managers and owners, as well as companies that purchase sanctioned energy resources.
“We’d like to see more,” Vlasiuk concluded.
- Earlier, the commissioner said the EU would approve this sanctions package in October.
- The EU has also been discussing a complete ban on maritime transport services. This depends on volatility in the global market as a result of events in the Strait of Hormuz.
