Ukrainian developer of unmanned systems and software Buntar Aerospace is setting up an advisory board to help the company define strategic priorities, develop technologies and scale operations in international markets. This is stated in the company’s press release.
The board’s first member is Marat Utiushev, a retired colonel and former head of the Centre for Innovation and Development of Defence Technologies at Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence. He was one of the organisers behind the creation of, and the commander of, military unit A2724, where the DELTA situational awareness system originated. His experience includes developing digital combat systems, implementing defence innovations and working with technologies used directly on the battlefield.
The creation of the advisory board is part of the next stage of Buntar Aerospace’s development. The company is advancing an approach to autonomy in military operations by combining unmanned systems and software that helps service personnel use available assets more effectively and make decisions in the conditions of modern warfare, the press release said.
“Innovation cycles in the defence sector are constantly accelerating. Ukraine must not merely keep up with these changes, but remain among the leaders. That is why we are creating an Advisory Board. The goal is to shape the company’s long-term strategy and develop our core idea: more combat capability with fewer people. Marat created one of the most effective digital products to emerge in Ukraine during this war. His experience in developing DELTA and his understanding of the military’s real needs will help us strengthen our product expertise and develop solutions that meet the demands of modern warfare,” said Buntar Aerospace co-founder Bohdan Sas.
Buntar Aerospace is a company in the field of autonomous defence technologies that develops unmanned systems and software for reconnaissance, surveillance and carrying out combat missions.
Recently, the company raised $16 million in a new investment round. The deal was led by Freedom Fund and an international private equity fund, with Gardar, Iron Wolf and Autonomy Capital also participating in the financing.
