A new class of ground robotic systems—amphibious unmanned ground systems (UGS)—has become available on the Brave1 Market defence marketplace. The Brave1 cluster has created a separate category for them, which already features the first three products: VI34G, “Tony” and “Triton”. This was reported by the Ministry of Defence.
Amphibious UGS are a new class of robots that expands the capabilities of ground operations. According to the Ministry of Defence, such drones retain high cross-country mobility on land and, within seconds, switch to waterborne movement to continue their route where a conventional ground drone would have to stop.
In June 2026, Brave1 launched a dedicated grant track, “Amphibious UGS”. Thanks to ongoing feedback from the military, Ukrainian developers are refining their innovations to match the realities of the front line.
As a reminder, servicemen from the Alter Ego unit of the 93rd Separate Mechanised Brigade carried out the first-ever combat mission using an amphibious UGS. The system completed an extremely challenging route—more than 40 km over land and water—and successfully delivered supplies and ammunition to positions.
Overall, according to the DELTA combat system, from the start of 2026 to early September, around 112,000 UGS logistics and evacuation missions were recorded.
It is worth noting that in October the Ukrainian company NODRICS presented the MAT1LDA amphibious ground robotic system, designed to overcome water obstacles, operate on water and move across difficult terrain. Meanwhile, another Ukrainian defence start-up developed the “Tony” amphibious unmanned ground platform, intended for logistics, evacuation and special tasks on land and water.
