Russian forces carried out two strikes on the premises of Donetskoblgaz in the Donetsk region. The attack damaged the company’s building and six service vehicles used by gas workers for day-to-day operations and emergency repairs.
This was reported on the company’s Facebook page.
According to the company, the occupiers attacked the site with drones. The first strike damaged an emergency vehicle and the building. During the second attack, five more service vehicles were hit.
The damaged vehicles include a Ford Focus, a GAZ lorry, a Gazelle minibus and other cars. No one was killed or injured in the shelling.
Donetskoblgaz said Russian forces continue to target the vehicles of critical infrastructure companies used to keep the gas distribution system running, respond to emergencies and restore gas supplies.
“Every damaged vehicle is not just a material loss. It is equipment gas workers need to respond quickly to emergency call-outs, including after enemy shelling,” the company said in a comment on the attack.
Despite the damage, Donetskoblgaz continues to operate in the Donetsk region.
