As of the morning of 1 November, due to Russian attacks on energy infrastructure facilities, some consumers in eight regions of Ukraine have been left without power supply.
This is reported by Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy.
Power outages were recorded in the Zhytomyr, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Cherkasy and Kharkiv regions.
The situation remains most difficult in the Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions. The energy infrastructure in these areas has suffered extensive damage. Because equipment has been hit, the ability to transmit electricity to consumers has been disrupted, so emergency outages are being applied.
The Ministry of Energy notes that repeated Russian attacks are complicating restoration work. The enemy is striking, in particular, energy facilities whose repairs were almost complete. As a result, power engineers have to restore damaged equipment all over again.
Where the security situation allows, emergency repair and restoration work continues. Residents are urged to follow updates from distribution system operators regarding schedules and changes to the power supply.
