SBU Issues Suspicion Notices to Five More Pro-Russian Agitators Calling for Increased Strikes on Ukraine

The Security Service has issued suspicion notices for pro-Kremlin agitation to five more people in different regions of Ukraine. This is stated in the security service’s press release.

The suspects are believed to have publicly justified Russia’s armed aggression, spread fakes about the Defence Forces and urged the enemy to carry out new attacks on our country.

In particular, in Kyiv Region, a resident of Brovary was exposed for urging Ukrainians to lay down their arms before the aggressor state.

According to the case materials, the individual spread hostile propaganda on his own page on the banned social network “Odnoklassniki”.

The suspect also questioned Ukrainian statehood and praised the war crimes of the Russian invaders.

In Kropyvnytskyi, a local resident received a suspicion notice after calling in Telegram channel chats for intensified Russian shelling of Ukrainian cities.

To disseminate Kremlin content, the individual posted comments under posts by Russian millionaire bloggers who are part of Putin’s media pool.

In Kherson, SBU cyber specialists exposed a local woman who justified the temporary occupation of the port city and urged Russia’s armed groups to carry out new attacks on the right bank of the region.

It has been documented how she replicated the relevant posts on her own pages on Facebook and “Odnoklassniki”.

In addition, the suspect published disinformation about the combat operations of the Defence Forces and the operational situation at the front.

In Bukovyna, two more Russian agitators were exposed. Both distributed hostile content on social media.

One of them, in Telegram channels, justified Russia’s full-scale aggression and the seizure of part of Ukraine’s territory. The other, on the Russian social network “Odnoklassniki”, spread pro-Russian narratives with insulting fabrications about Ukrainians

During searches, mobile phones and computer equipment containing evidence of the crimes were seized from those detained.

Court-ordered forensic linguistic examinations initiated by the SBU confirmed the facts of the suspects’ information and subversive activities in the interests of the aggressor state.

Investigators of the Security Service served them with suspicion notices in line with the offences committed under Parts 2 and 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (justifying, recognising as lawful, or denying Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, and glorifying its participants).

The suspects face up to eight years’ imprisonment with confiscation of property.

  • The comprehensive measures were carried out by SBU officers in Kyiv and Kyiv Region, as well as in Kirovohrad, Kherson and Chernivtsi regions, under the procedural supervision of the regional prosecutor’s offices.
