In the past day, the Russia-backed militants continued to violate ceasefire in the antiterrorist operation (ATO) area as 18 attacks were launched on the ATO troops in Donbas. "The situation on the Donetsk suburbs remains tense. Last night, the militants used grenade launchers and small arms to shell Ukrainian troops near Avdiyivka [18 km north of Donetsk]. Army positions outside Maryinka [35 km southwest of Donetsk] came under small arms fire," a report by the ATO press centre reads.
The terrorists also used 120-mm mortars to shell ATO troops near Novotroyitske (32 km south of Donetsk). Ukrainian servicemen came under the fire with small arms and grenade launchers in Shyrokyne (20 km east of Mariupol).
The militants used small arms and heavy machine guns to target the positions of the government forces near Tryokhizbenka (33 km northwest of Luhansk).
One of Ukraine's rear military units was attacked by an enemy UAV, which dropped six bombs. No human casualties or damaged equipment were reported .
