Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has ordered a comprehensive aerial survey of forests.
"I have instructed to do aerial photography Ukrainian forest", - said the prime minister tweeted.
According to Groysman's post on Twitter, the measure will give the government a full picture of forestry felling in the country.
In July 2015, the Rada enacted a law that slams a 10-year moratorium on the export of raw timber, but massive deforestation has continued.
In May, the Cabinet banned the sanitary logging and dismissed the head of the National Forestruy Agency.
