The Ministry of Economic Development will present Ukraine's export strategy in March, Deputy Minister and Trade Representative of Ukraine Natalya Mykolska told LB.ua on 7 March.
"We plan to present Ukraine's Export Strategy in March 2017, something that Ukraine hasn't had for 25 years," she said.
"The strategy outlines where we are going and what needs to be done to achieve this. This strategy will concern all authorities and not just the Economic Development Ministry. It will concern even the education authorities because it turned out that we do not have specialized education or programmes for the retraining of people who could engage in export activities or related services," Mykolska said.
"Export in itself does not work - there must be people. There must be infrastructure. Customs procedures, including currency regulations, should be simplified. The strategy should suggest what business and business associations should do," the deputy minister said.
"Export development issues are not just the government's concern, she concluded.
