Over the past day, militants 85 times opened fire on the positions of Ukrainian servicemen in the area of the anti-terrorist operation in Donbas. Eight Ukrainian fighters were in the shelling, the ATO press center reported on Facebook 7 June.
In the coastal sector, 25 shellings were recorded, most often in the vicinity of the village of Chermalyk, where the enemy repeatedly pounded the positions of ATO forces from 120-mm mortars and once – from multiple rocket fire systems. Also under fire were the ATO fortifications near Vodyane, Shyrokyne, Hnutove, Taramchuk, Pavlopil, Novotroyitske and Maryinka, where the enemy used mostly small arms, grenade launchers, and, in some areas, 82-mm mortars and the IFV weapons.
In the Donetsk sector, the militants 28 times opened fire on the ATO positions. The geography of shelling remains constant: Avdiyivka, Kamyanka, Verkhnyotoretske, Novhorodske, Zaitseve, Novoluhanske and Troyitske. The Russia-backed terrorists used small arms, grenade launchers, 82-mm, and, less often, 120-mm mortars. On Tuesday evening, the militants carried out two powerful shelling attacks at the positions of ATO forces near Troyitske from 122-mm artillery, 120-mm mortars, tank artillery and smaller weapons.

At about 6:30 pm, militants shelled the residential sector of the village of Novoluhanske from the anti-aircraft unit ZU-23–2. As a result, a wooden homestead on was burnt to the ground, two outbuildings, a fence, the roof of a residential house were damaged, and a shed was almost destroyed and livestock was killed. Fortunately, none of the local residents suffered.
In the Luhansk sector, there were 32 instances of the use of weapons by militants, including heavy artillery. The ATO troops stationed in the areas of Krymske and Novotoshkivske were pounded from 120-mm mortars and powerful 122- and 152-mm artillery. Enemy mortars shelled ATO fighters near Novooleksandrivka, Trekhizbenki, Popasna, Troyitske, Katerynivka and Novozvanivka. Using lighter weapons, the militants resorted to provocations near the Donets rail station and Stanytsya Luhanska.
Since the beginning of the last day, the militants 46 times fired at the positions of the ATO. In particular, the ATO HQ noted the aggravation of the situation in the Luhansk sector.
