Over the past day, militants 17 times have violated the ceasefire regime in Donbas. The Ukrainian military in more than half the cases suppressed the enemy's fire using grenade launchers and small arms. In a Friday report, the press center of the anti-terrorist operation said that two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded, and one slightly wounded in a landmine explosion.
"Unfortunately, Ukraine lost one defender," the report said.
The Russian-backed militants groups, particularly after dark, shell the ATO positions using mortars of various calibers.
In the Luhansk sector, the enemy fired 120-mm mortars, heavy machine guns and small arms to pound ATO positions in the area of Troyitske. In the evening, ATO forces stationed near Krymske, Lobachovo, Valuiske and Novooleksandrivka were under the fire of rocket-propelled grenades, while small arms were fired near Luhanske, Zaitseve and Stanytsya Luhanska.
In the Donetsk sector, Avdiyivka was the hottest spot as the occupiers repeatedly fired 82-mm mortars and the entire range of infantry weapons. Butivka, Maryinka and Shyrokyne were shelled from grenade launchers and small arms.
An enemy drone was spotted in the region of Shchastya and Maryinka.
On Thursday, the Hague Tribunal admitted signs of an international armed conflict in Donbas.
