Fatherland party leader Yuliya Tymoshenko will not moderate a debate between presidential candidates Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Petro Poroshenko, a representative of the comedian's HQ, Dmytro Razumkov, has said on the air of Radio Novoye Vremya.
"She would have been an independent arbiter because she would have criticized both candidates. Had she agreed, the stadium audience would have represented 60% of voters. So it would have really represented over half of the country. But it happened the way it happened," Razumkov said.
He added that "any other" person will be offered to moderate the debate.
"This must be an independent referee who will be equidistant from both teams," he added.
Following the first round of the presidential election on 31 March, comedian Volodymyr Zelenskyy and incumbent President Petro Poroshenko made it to the runoff.
