The situation is under control over the whole territory of Ukraine. Russia is attacking from all directions, in all the big cities of Ukraine.

To attack the capital the enemy brought all the reserves, but the city keeps repulsing the attacks. The Adviser to the Head of the President's Office Mykhailo Podoliak informed about it during a briefing that was held at 7 a.m.

"They were counting on blitzkrieg which did not happen, they planned to break our defense. That is why everything: sabotage and reconnaissance groups and shelling, shelling of residential areas, by the way, troops landing and attempts to enter with vehicles - is happening in front of the whole world. Everything was fought back professionally, National Police is working very well in Kyiv. In the city itself the Units of Territorial Defense are being very effective. People get out and protect their homes, " - emphasized Podoliak.

He also added that the attacks are going on at the exact moment, in Beresteiska city district, for instance where Russia wanted to take over a military base. Ukraine fought this attack back.

"In every direction, where there are attacks, Army Forces of Ukraine, National Police and Units of Territorial Defense fight back and win. Today's night has shown that Russia has no chances now and shall not have in the future", - he assured.

Podoliak added that in basically all the cities and regions the local authorities did not leave their positions. They keep working despite the shellings.

Let us remind you that at night of 25th-26th of February Russia reinforced attack on Kyiv. The enemy tried to damage TPP-6 on Troieshchyna District, take over military base and landed troops in Vasylkiv.
