In Kharkiv, dozens of Russian soldiers surrendered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by Oleh Synehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration. According to him, the occupiers are completely exhausted and demoralized.
"Russian soldiers who have been taken prisoner say they are completely exhausted and demoralized. They have no connection with the central command, do not understand and do not know their further actions. Since the beginning of the attack on Ukraine, they have received neither food nor water, their fuel supplies are running short," Synehubov says.
According to him, leaving their positions, Russian soldiers try to mix with the civilian population asking people for clothes and food. Synehubov asks residents of Kharkiv region to follow safety rules and not to open the doors to strangers.
"Residents of Kharkiv region, please be careful, do not open the doors to strangers, do not help the Russian aggressor in hiding," the message reads.
