The evacuation convoy sent to Volnovakha to retrieve people did not reach its destination due to bombardment from Russian Grad multiple rocket launchers. This was announced by the head of the Donetsk regional Сivilian-Military Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko.

"An evacuation transport sent to Volnovakha in the morning to evacuate people has not yet reached its destination - the convoy came under fire from Russian Grads. The entire evacuation convoy is safe and sound and is currently in shelters," the statement said. "As soon as the shell attacks break off, we will try again to evacuate people," Kirilenko added.

Local regional and district authorities are waiting for the residents of Volnovakha in the settlement, the name of which is announced to people by phone, and asks to follow only their instructions.

It will be recalled that on February 27, Ukrainian troops liberated Volnovakha, but residents have been under fire for three days without water, food or electricity.
