The United States has blocked the assets of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and its chairman Kirill Dmitriev, Interfax reports, with reference to the US Treasury Department.
RDIF and Dmitriev are included in the SDN List, which means a complete blockade of assets.
Also, US sanctions will be applied to UK RVK LLC, which became a part of RDIF after the reform of development institutions, which was announced in November 2020. “UK “RVK” LLC is a legal entity based on the RDIF shortly after the announcement of the reform of development institutions.
Earlier, Switzerland announced its readiness to impose sanctions on Russia, following the example of the European Union, and freeze Russian assets.
