Eight Russian soldiers, who "came for military training and did not expect to fight", detained in Sumy Region

The police and the Territorial Defence Forces detained 8 Russian soldiers in the Sumy region. 

National Police of Ukraine announced it on their Telegram page. 

“With their actions, all of them encroached on the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and inviolability of Ukraine. Attackers are from 20 to 30 years of age. According to them, they came here for the military training and did not expect that they were sent to fight,” - the statement said. 

Soldiers were detained per Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. They were informed about the suspicion of committing crimes against the security of our state.

“Together, we are strong! We believe in Ukraine!” said National Police. 

Yesterday in Kharkiv, dozens of Russian soldiers surrendered themselves to the Armed Forces. Abandoning their positions, Russian soldiers are trying to hide among civilians, asking people for clothes and food.
