Since yesterday Kherson has been besieged. Locals told LB.ua what is happening in the city now.
“Entire city has united, entire Kherson community is like one family, without exaggeration, - says Mykola, a local. - We have a limited amount of some of the products, like bread and butter. But the stocks needed for survival will last for a very long time. We will withstand for sure.”
He said that all night Kherson people, who know how to weld metal produced anti-tank “Czech hedgehogs”: “We are also producing Molotov cocktails on an industrial scale. The whole city is involved in the defense. The city stands to death. Russia will not be able to enter; they are afraid even to try to enter. They surrounded us and are staying on the outskirts.”
“We need to say this one thing so that everybody knows: the city will not surrender; Russians do not stand a chance here.”
Yesterday four Russian soldiers, according to preliminary data, from the 33rd regiment from Volhohrad oblast, aged from 18 to 29, surrendered to the locals after the fight and the defeat of their column on the border with the Kherson region.
