France, Italy, Germany also decided to close the sky for Russian aircraft

More and more European countries are blocking ties with Russia as a response to its war against Ukraine

France, Italy, Germany have also decided to close the sky for Russian aircraft. From 3 p.m., February 27th Russian air companies are banned from flying to Germany, according to Tagesschau website. 

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy, Luigi Di Maio, wrote on Twitter that the Extraordinary Foreign Affair Council made the decision to close the sky. 

“Today at the Extraordinary Foreign Affair Council I will support the mutual action of all EU countries: entire EU is closing its airspace for Russia”, - wrote the Minister. 

Russian airplanes will not be able to enter France starting with the evening of February 27th, the Minister of Transport, Jean-Baptiste Jebari, reported. 

Finland also plans to close the sky for Russian airplanes. The same decision was made earlier by Great Britain, Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Bulgaria, and Slovenia. Poland and the Czech Republic were the first to make such decisions.
