On the 27th of February, Putin ordered the transfer of deterrence forces to a special combat duty regime. He justified his decision using allegedly aggressive statements of NATO officials.
"Western countries are not only unfriendly to our country in the economic sphere, I mean all the illegitimate sanctions, but senior officials of leading NATO countries also allow themselves to say aggressive statements against our country," - he said.
Let us remind you that tough sanctions against Russia have been increased by disconnection from SWIFT system; yesterday all the states-members of EU approved this decision. Technical preparation for disconnection has been activated. A number of countries have also closed the airspace for Russian aircraft.
