The government of Sweden decided to provide military equipment and weapons to Ukraine. This was reported by the Prime Minister of Sweden, Magdalena Andersson.
“135 thousand combat rations, 5 thousand helmets, 5 thousand bulletproof vests, and 5 thousand light anti-tank weapons will be sent to Ukraine. The military is also receiving financial support in the amount of 400 million kroons”, - the head of the government reported.
Earlier, the European Union said it would finance the purchase and delivery of the weapons to Ukraine to help it fight back the Russian military. This will be the first such case for the EU. It was reported by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
