During the five days of the war with the Russian occupiers in Ukraine, 352 civilians died, including 16 children. The Ministry of Health announced such preliminary data.
About 2,040 people were injured. Forty-five of them are children.
The Ministry noted that the data are preliminary; it is tough to keep detailed statistics in the current environment.
It is important to note that the civilians are mostly injured by enemy shelling of residential neighbourhoods in Ukrainian cities. Numerous hits of ammunition in residential buildings and social infrastructure have been recorded. For instance, only in Chernihiv, there were three such hits during the night.
