The press service of the Ukrainian parliament reported that the Ukrainian delegation arrived in the area of the Ukrainian-Belarusian border to take part in talks with representatives of the Russian Federation.
The delegation included:
- The leader of the Servant of the People party, David Arahamiya,
- Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov,
- Adviser to the Head of the President's Office Mykhailo Podoliak,
- First Deputy Head of the Delegation of Ukraine to the Tripartite Contact Group Andriy Kostin,
- People's Deputy Rustem Umerov,
- Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mykola Tochytskyi.
The critical issue of the talks is an immediate ceasefire and the withdrawal of troops from Ukraine.
David Arahamiya is confident that negotiations with the Russian Federation will take place only in the direction needed by Ukraine.
"Negotiations will go either in the right direction or as a Russian warship," Arahamiya wrote on Facebook on the night of 28 February.
Responding to comments on Facebook, Arahamiya said: "We are going to hear the proposals, and then we will discuss whether they are worth it or not."
