As the operator of all the Ukrainian nuclear power plants (Zaporizhzhia, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi and South-Ukraine NPPs), State Enterprise NAEK Enerhoatom officially reports that the Russian propagandist media’s information about the Russian invaders allegedly taking control of Zaporizhzhia NPP are blatant fake news.
The statement to the effect has been posted on the official website of Enerhoatom.
“At present, all four nuclear power plants are under Ukraine’s control and operate as usual. Enerhoatom has taken all the measures necessary to protect the NPPs. Defense of all nuclear sites has been strengthened by relevant forces as provided for by the laws of Ukraine,” reports Enerhoatom.
There have been no violations of safe use. Radiation, fire, and ecological safety conditions have not changed and are currently normal at all NPPs and on all adjacent territories.
As of 9 a.m., February 28, the current power level of NAEK Enerhoatom was 7,159 megawatt.
